Effects of Texas Revolution 3rd

So now what? What are the effects of this revolution? think about America, Mexico, and the world. And of course, Texas. General Jose Manuel de Mier y Teran died with these last words: " Immortality! God! The Soul! What does all this mean? Well, then, I believe in it all, but why does man not have the right to put aside his misery and his pains? Why should he be eternally chained to an existence which is unpleasant to him? And this spirit which inspires, which fills my mind with ideas-where will it go? Let us see, now; the spirit is uncomfortable, it commands me to set it free, and it is necessary to obey. Here is the end of human glory and the termination of ambition.
¿En quĂ© parará Texas? En lo que Dios quiera. ["What is to become of Texas? Whatever God wills"]

He committed suicide with this last thought. Due: March 28th

  1. The Revolution had lots of effects all over the world, but mostly in the North America area. Mexico lost lots of men, Texas lost men, and the United States lost men as well, whomever's side its citizens chose to fight on. Whenever you participate in war, you lose money as well as people. So Texas and Mexico decreased their financial status funding the war. Mexico lost a LOT of land, because Texas is around 268,800 square miles, and several years after Texas was its own country, The Republic of Texas, the U.S. gained that land when the two countries merged. Texas also gained pride and belief in itself after winning a war and its independence, while Mexico lost pride, and maybe respect from some of its citizens and other places in the world.

There are some effects from the Texas Revolution. First, Texas is now a "country" - technically, an independent republic. It has its own government, and will become part of the United States. This, in turn, will increase the size of the United States. Although Texas spent large amounts of money during its revolution, it received aid from its citizens and those of the United States. So, financially at least, Texas does not have any major problems, and it can start off right. Also, Texas has become famous because of its victory, and its people are motivated to continue towards a better future.

On the other hand, Mexico has lost money, since even some of its own citizens were on the Texans' side. It has no way of receiving financial support, unless it buries itself in debt in a desperate attempt to stabilize the ecconomy, which like won't occur. The government has fallen apart in turmoil, so politically, it's not doing so well. Mexico has also lost "fame" because it lost one of its most valuable territories: Texas. And it also lost land, unlike the United States. So, to sum it all up, Texas and the U.S. are the chief beneficiaries of the Revolution of Texas. Mexico, not so much.

And now, I will give my own answer to General Jose Manuel de Mier y Teran's question.

Q: What is to become of Texas?

    A: Whatever the people will!

  3. I Juan Almonte find that the effects of the Revolutions is that Mexico soon saw the Texans/ Texians were a force to reckon with and that it was slowly weakened the Mexican army , turning Mexico in so what some would say a “Waste Land”. America also that the Mexican armies were a group of people that are willing to do almost anything to fight for their land and that American needs to step up the way of dealing with situations like this one. In the saying of General Jose Manuel de Mier y Teran is that to fight for what is right to the end if you believe God will be with you and your goal will soon come. Man must put the misery and pain since it is to him where the strife and struggles are found, due to the job that is said they must complete. Never become chained to misery and pain, but let it free to be able to compete. It shall go to the next person always re-entering its way in to man.

  4. I, Davy Crockett, think the most major effect of the Texas revolution is that Texas could become part of the rest of the United States, but becoming an independent country first, of course. It can design a government of their own Then the US could freely enter Texas to get resources. This strengthened the United States' economy concerning the resources found in Texas. As far as Mexico, it was weakened because it lost a major part of their land (which probably affected the amount of money they received from the resources the Texas land has) and soldiers from their the army from the frequent battles.

I believe that Texas gained more economic values and more land after the Texas Revolution. Economic values as in terms of higher occupation rates and production rates. Another effect would be that Texas has been influenced with Mexican culture (Tex-Mex. Texas has been great friends with Mexico, but Mexico has been stirring a little commotion what with all the illegal immigrants. Which leads me to conclude the effects of the Texas Revolution on Mexico. I believe that because of the Texas Revolution, Mexico's economy and government has been destroyed and just chaotic. (The many battles and wars during the revolution cost a lot of money!). Because the government and economy is corrupt, bad influences affected parts of Mexico. Also, this caused Mexico to have to rely on tourism and its beautiful nature for money. In general, Mexico became weak and powerless. America, on the other side, grew stronger as Texas won the revolution and the argument over land. As economic rates went well in Texas, economic rates also went well in America. And America received more land and became more powerful (same thing for Texas... well... Texas is in America so...).

The effects of the Texas revolution can go many ways. For Texas it meant more land, it meant liberty, it meant hardwork and accomplishment. It made Texas INDEPENDENT! For Mexico it meant less land :(... Santa Anna lost his presidentcy. On the other hand it helped mexico and texas become a little more united even after the war. Even today you can see the mexico has had a great impact on not only texas but the united states. There has been much influence on texas from mexico which proves a lot of things.

  7. If Texas had not won the Revolution then Texas would not have gained its independence. If Texas did not won independence it would not have joined the Mexican American War, which ended with the United states gaining California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, and parts of Oregon and Idaho. Texas also joined just as the Civil war was heating up; Texans were big players on the Confederate side (having just won a war against one of the largest Armies in the Americas) and could have been a great factor in the length and brutality of the war. Texas must have supplied a large sum of money toward the war, for it was and still is a powerhouse in producing large amounts valuable cotton, which was used to buy supplies and weapons from Europe.

  8. Some effects of the Texas Revolution are that, now that Mexico and Texas are now separated into two different countries, each government is independent. Both countries must choose new governments, leaders, laws, etc. Mexico has lost land and more money (since they were broke even before the war) they have to find a way to recuperate, despite their failing government and country. Texas has gained their freedom, but we also lost much money, and have to find a way to get it back, also we must make a new government. America has now become interested in gaining Texas.

  9. Ah yes, Texas has her independence at last. She is now her own republic and isn’t doing to bad at maintaining herself. However, lately I’ve heard that Houston plans to join Texas with the United States. I myself don’t believe this is a good idea. Texas and the United States have rather opposite opinions as to what is acceptable in a country. Not only do Texas and the United Sates have different points of view from each other, but so do Mexico and the U.S. More different than how Texas and the U.S view each other in fact. So, I really don’t think allowing the U.S. and Mexico to meet boundaries is a good idea. Nothing but more violence will come from it. And Texas doesn’t need to be involved in another war.

  10. Some of the effects of the Texas Revolution are that Texas has a large Spanish influence, in culture and other things. While the United States and Mexico are now very different countries with different ways of solving problems in the country. As to what will become of Texas, it has become an AWESOME state that is home to many of the historical thing from the United States, we also have a lot of monuments showing the things that people in the Texas Revolution did and putting them in the spotlight

  11. I, Davy Crockett think that the most important effect of the texas revolution was that Texas became part of the US and that Texas could finally from a strong government. It also meant that they finally got their own land and no one could stop the Texans from doing anything. Mexico also was less powerful because of the defeat in Texas. Santa Anna was also looked as as a coward since he surrendered because he was so scared to die...he even tried to wear something from the Texans so that no one would notice he escaped.

The effects of the Revolution include changes in America, Mexico and in Texas. The changes in Texas were probably the greatest because it finally became a state, but before that, and individual Republic. The changes in Texas made the Texans a lot more fierce and independent. It gave them hope and the ability to believe in themseleves. America later got more land by adding Texas to their country. Now that Texas and Mexico are basically friends, there have been a lot of Mexican influences in Texas. For example, clothing, food, people and even culture

  13. There are many effects to the Texasd Revolution, first of all texas became independent and the economy of texas and America grew because Texas became a part of America. Also Mexico's economy was destroyed first of all beacause they lost so much land, also because of all the turmoil mexico had gotten into.

  14. I, Jim Bowie, see the effects of the Texas Revolution as positive because even though we lost many brave soldiers, including myself, we succeeded to bring independence to Texas. The U.S gained more land because of Texas, And Texas increased in population because of all the settlersfrom the U.S.
